A wise man says nothing.

“Those who love to talk will experience the consequences, for the tongue can kill or nourish life.” ~Proverbs 18:21

Evil words have no power. You won't find one scripture in the Bible that says that the devil's evil words have power. You can only find out how his words got him into trouble!

On the other hand, the Bible tells us that God’s Words are incredibly powerful. He spoke words and created everything!

The words that we speak are also potent.

So, if the devil’s words have no power, why is it that he can cause so much trouble on the earth?

Let me tell you, the devil isn't silent. He's are busy whispering lies and tempting people into sin all over place. Those whispers don’t have any power at all unless he convinces you to agree with them.

The enemy or evil people can plant an evil thought in your mind. The thought alone doesn't have power. It's only a thought. It's what you do with the thought that will determine if the enemy gets any satisfaction from it. If you hold onto that thought for awhile and think about it, it will start to manifest itself into reality. If it travels from your mind to your mouth that's when you have serious trouble.

If you come right out and say your thoughts the devil has won power.

All evil words start with a thought that the enemy has planted in our minds. The Bible says that we have “the mind of Christ”. If that's so, we wouldn't have evil thoughts.

You might be saying “I don’t feel like I have the mind of Christ.” If you are hearing more bad thoughts than good thoughts, you need to renew your mind.

To see how words effect us, take children for example. Children have very little ability to control their impulses. They are likely to shout out just about any thought that comes into their head. One might angrily say to another, “I hate you!” or “You’re ugly!”. If someone doesn't intervene they'll end up hitting each other or end up with their feelings deeply hurt. The angry words you speak have destructive power.

Be careful of your thoughts because they become words. Your words become actions. You can't control what someone else does, but you have the power to control you. Don't fall for the temptation. Remember to bite your tongue, and cast down those thoughts when they appear.

I'm going to enjoy a fun-filled weekend in Tunica, with my girlfriends. My son is going to his daddy's house for alittle over a week, so I'm taking full advantage of it.

Enjoy your weekend!
