Taking the early train Home

Having had someone close to my family die, has been a difficult adjustment for many of us, especially my brother's fiance Melissa.

There have been several unexplained encounters to happen around the house my brother shares with Melissa. i.e. Toys turning themselves on and off, doors shutting by themselves, the dryer coming on by itself, lights flickering off and on, just quite a few weird things...also Melissa's mother having stated she has smelled a strong scent of flowers lingering in her house.

As I was reading my new book by Sylvia Browne last night, she has a chapter dedicated on How to Deal with the Death of a Loved One...

She states:

The truth is that a ghost is the restless soul of a person who had unfinished business or and unresolved conflict here on Earth or suffered a traumatic death and wasn't ready to die.

For those of you who don't know, Cathy (Melissa's sister) was killed by a gun shot wound on Christmas Day.

She also states:

All loved ones can show up in dreams or send us messages in our waking hours, but this doesn't mean that they're ghosts. those who have gone to the Other Side can communicate with us by leaving a scent, such as roses or cigarette smoke; dropping of coins; ringing phones; and making electrical devices turn off and on.

Melissa asked for a sign to let her know Cathy is okay, or happy, or made it to Heaven. About 3 weeks ago, she had a very vivid dream, which Cathy came to her and told her she was the happiest she has ever been and not to worry about her. She let her know she'll always be with her. This provided a sense of relief for Melissa.

Being the opinionated person that I am, I want to say we all have it backwards. We come from Heaven and enter Hell, and then we leave this planet, and we go back Home to Heaven, which is paradise.

Death isn't the end. It's a trip we all have to take, some of us just take an earlier train home.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Bryant Bowden's family, friends, and his wonderful fiance Jody. And of course to the family and friends of Cathleen Hernandez. You both will be missed!

Rest assured we'll see them again one day!
