Would you eat your dog?

Warning: Today's blog is nothing fancy.

I decided to embark on a 30-Day Vegetarian diet. I'm on day 9 and finally feeling normal. The first 2 days were easy. By the third day, I started feeling withdrawal symptoms which is known as a detoxification period.

I've experienced stomach pains, light-headed moments, weakness, and fatigue. I wasn't going to cave on my experiment choice, but I wasn't sure if I were going to stick to this diet after the 30 days were over.

I've been told you feel healthier, more energetic, etc... But you have to go through the pain to feel the good. Your body is healing, reprogramming, and learning to function with the new nutrients you've been supplying it and without meat. In my 27 years, I've always eaten meat, so I understand why it hurts. My body isn't used to it.

Change is a process. It takes time accepting the new things and saying goodbye to the old things. You're going to experience alittle pain in the process of change. It's good for you. If you always stick with the same routine, you're never going to grow. You'll always stay the same. We can all make improvements in certain areas of our lives, and the only way you're going to improve is to change a particular routine.

I'm certain this change will do my body good. It's a lesson on sticking with my commitments. It builds self-discipline which only adds to your character and credibility. It also changes my body's normal routine of functioning. I'm confident my body will benefit from this change. It's forcing it to release years of toxins. Which will help increase it's level of efficiency.

Anyone who has a habit they want to kick, you've gotta tough it out during the painful beginning, if you want to achieve your goal. Be strong. It's all in your mind.

Seriously, I use the idea of eating your dog to stick with this process. You wouldn't eat your dog, would you? Why eat meat?

You can do it!
